Mission Statement:

The Quincy Concert Band is committed to preserving the rich heritage of community bands and quality wind band literature by presenting free concerts of artistic and professional excellence to the Quincy and Tri-State  community. 

Our volunteer, non-profit organization provides its adult members opportunities to perform diverse concert band music for enjoyment, to improve their musical skills, and to foster friendship and esprit de corps with fellow musicians from all walks of life, and, it strives to nurture a lifelong love of music in all, audience and musicians alike.

Our motto is “A Richer, Fuller Life Through Music.”

"Music can name the unnameable and communicate the unknowable":  Leonard Bernstein

Leonard Bernstein (1918-1990) was an American composer, conductor, author, music lecturer, and pianist. . According to music critic Donal Henahan, he was "one of the most prodigiously talented and successful musicians in American history."   In recognition of the one hundredth anniversary of Bernstein's birth, the Quincy Concert Band will present a collection of classic jazz works for symphonic band, written by Bernstein and other prominent composers.

There no charge for admission. However, donations are welcome to assist with the band’s expenses.
